Peter Matthews Chief Technical Officer
Executive V.P. of Sales

Peter received his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering in 1993 from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has over thirty years of engineering experience in the design and construction of technologically advanced devices and systems. He enjoys using his extensive experience in project management and product development to work directly with customers to help them achieve their goals.

His areas of expertise include Ultra High Vacuum systems, high frequency microwave components and antennas, filters and microwave measurements. Since joining Mega in 2007, Peter has helped the company to more than double its size by introducing many new products, and establishing an engineering expertise to offer "RF Solutions" seldom obtained anywhere else in the industry.

Henry Downs – V.P. of Engineering

Henry Downs V.P. of Engineering

Henry received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

He has over 30 years of experience in the RF engineering industry with the development of high power RF Custom components including: filters, switches, attenuators, phase shifters and combiners. Over the years, he has also conquered many challenges faced by the developers of HD Radio and scientific/military systems and continues to lead the way with new and innovative solutions. As Vice President of Engineering at Mega Industries Henry has innovated and overseen programs that have increased the quality and manufacturing efficiency of the company.

Michael A. Barone Production Manager

Michael received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was employed by Bath Iron Works for twenty-five years in total, where he gained experience as a Process Engineer, Design Builder for the DDG1000 Program, Machine Shop Supervisor, and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Planner. During his career at Bath Iron Works, one of his highest accomplishments was the reduction of lead times from twelve to four weeks, putting the machine shop back on schedule. During his leadership, his department won the Aegis Excellence Award for design, and then once again for manufacturing. He is currently a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is also a six time graduate assistant of the Dale Carnegie Public Speaking and Leadership Class.

Michael’s vision for Mega is to streamline productivity and increase throughput as Mega continues to grow. He will focus on building the team and producing world class products and solutions for Mega’s customer base.

William Sanborn – VP International Sales and Business Development

William Sanborn VP International Sales and Business Development

Throughout a career filled with challenging projects, Bill has successfully overseen several complex and multi-faceted programs. From Europe, and Asia, he has provided skilled leadership and detail-oriented project management for a diverse array of sales, manufacturing and system installation projects.
He has formalized many aspects of the process at Mega in an effort to better improve our ability to listen to and meet customer expectations.

Prior to joining Mega, Bill worked in other technology companies in various roles including as VP of Operations for a publicly traded electronics and engineering firm and as Product Manager for a microwave antenna manufacturer. These positions had him all over the globe to evaluate suppliers, promote products and develop new markets.

Bill attended the University of Maine at Orono where he studied Engineering Physics.

Lisa Cummings - Mega Industries Sales

Lisa Marie Cummings North American Account Manager

Lisa focuses on serving Mega’s customers across the United States and Canada. She came to Mega in 2010 with over 15 years of Account Management/Sales and Marketing experience in the industry. Her organizational skills and efficiency have helped guide Mega toward winning several key awards such as the upgrade of the C5 weather radar with LMCO and FRIB Coaxial Components at Michigan State University. She prides herself in being among the very best with customer relations. Utilizing her Marketing skills, she often assists with promotional content for Mega Industries. Lisa received her Business degree from Bay Path University in Massachusetts.

Dave Johnstone – Inside Sales Manager

Dave Johnstone Inside Sales Manager

Dave received a degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences at New England Institute of Technology, Warwick, R.I. in 1983. He was a microwave technician at Raytheon Company’s Microwave Development Lab in Sudbury, MA for 14 years. He joined Mega Industries in the spring of 1999 as Inside Sales. His knowledge of microwave technology greatly enhances his ability to help the customer choose the right solution to address their needs. Dave supports both domestic and overseas customers with commercial, scientific, and military requirements.

Frank Malanga Global and Broadcast Account Manager

Frank joined the Mega Sales team in 2015 with the acquisition of Micro Communication Inc (MCi). With over 25 years of experience in electronics and RF technologies, Frank brings a broad range of business experience having held key positions in Operations, Engineering and Quality Assurance/High Reliability Testing management positions.

Prior to his work at MCi, Frank has held positions with Filtronic Comtek, Vishay Intertechnology and AVX Corporation. He is a worldwide sales professional with marketing expertise in Medical Components, Broadcast, High Energy Physics and Military Components.

Customer service, complete satisfaction and continued improvement are his primary focus.

Frank received a BS from Castleton State College in Castleton, VT and Electrical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA

Robin Whitehouse – Administrative/Project Manager

Robin Whitehouse Administrative/Project Manager

Robin Whitehouse is currently Administrative/Project Manager at Mega Industries. As such, she is responsible for the strategic management and development of Mega’s administrative function as well as management and coordination of specialized projects.
As Administrative Manager, her portfolio of responsibilities encompasses a wide range of disciplines including human resources, information technology coordination, management of information systems, payroll, property & facilities management and maintenance, general & front office management and hospitality coordination.

Dedicated Project Management in something that Mega Industries has initiated to better serve our customers. In this role Robin reviews contractual requirements and arranges schedules based on those requirements. These schedules are followed through by Robin, with on-going customer communication, and overall coordination within Mega to ensure the best possible outcome for all projects.

Robin has over fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of administration and she has worked extensively in administration throughout her professional career in a variety of industries.

Derek Bruno – Mechanical Engineer

Derek Bruno Mechanical Engineer

Derek received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 from the University of Maine- Orono. Since beginning his employment at Mega in December of 2009 he has designed many custom RF components for a variety of customers. He works closely with our manufacturing team, offering them support and designing/engineering new equipment to assure manufacturing of the product is done the most effective way.

Nathan Veilleux – Mechanical Engineer

Nathan Veilleux Mechanical Engineer

Upon graduating from The University of Maine in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics, Nathan began his career at MEGA Industries LLC. At Mega Nathan is involved with projects that range from updating legacy components so they conform with current machining practices to the mechanical design of large components that have successfully tested at an astounding 6MW of continuous RF power transmission. To the Mega engineering team, Nathan brings his willingness to learn as well as his skillful knowledge of engineering.
