Coaxial Couplers
Mega Industries offers a full range of coaxial couplers to meet your varied requirements for power monitoring. Whether your need is for a vestigial loop type with a 6 dB per octave slope or a quarter-wave style offering you flat coupling over a 10% band width, our couplers assure you of years or trouble free service. Both style couplers are available in either single coupler (monitor) type or dual directional (reflectometer) type. Custom configurations with three or more couplers are also available.
Coaxial Directional Couplers
The compact quarter-wave loop directional couplers have provision for an external load, which greatly increases the power handling capacity. Standard units are available in 10 dB increments from 20 dB through 70 dB coupling factors and many other values are available at no additional cost. All electrical data is traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. Typical electrical response of these couplers is listed below:

The vestigial loop directional couplers are extremely compact and provide broadband RF measuring capabilities. The standard monitors and reflectometers exhibit a 6 dB/octave response. Also available are broadband monitors covering a 3:1 bandwidth with a coupling response of +/- 1 dB and 10:1 bandwidth units with a +/- 2dB coupling response.
Coaxial Hybrid Couplers
MEGA INDUSTRIES offers 3 dB, 90º, air-dielectric transmission line coaxial hybrid couplers in a variety of configurations and bandwidths. Electrical specifications for quarter-wave units over a 10% bandwidth are as follows:

For broad band applications 3/4wave and 5 wave/4 coaxial hybrid couplers are available in 3 dB, 4.77 dB, and 6dB coupling factors. The nominal coupling variation is +/- 0.5 dB and the isolation is in excess of 20 dB
